Wed, July 15, 2009 - 6:43 PMword is that red nose will have it's stilt bar and it will be bigger and improved. as usual, stilt madness there at sundown. ALWAYS a good call. apparently too, there is to be a gumball machine on the playa that is stilt only too. -

I have about 8 or so stiiters at my camp. so we should be able to get some people there. I started a thread on the ePlaya but not much ueful response. I don't want to miss the WWW. So lets set the date/time /location right now and 'if we make it they will come'
Where is Red Nose district this year? I am happy to start at a stilt bar.
Otherwise
What about:
Thursday 4pm - 5pm
Start at the 9:00 Plaza (aka 9 @ Biology)
And then we walk and our way around the Esplanade to centre camp, where we can take over the centre stage for a stilt dance party. then if our legs aren't too shaky we can continue around to the 3 Plaza?
I would also love to make it more specific and hit some stilt bars or start at a stilt bar. Anyone know who I could contact at the Red Nose District to confirm it is running this year and where?
(FYI-Since the Monkey Chant is listed as 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Tues, Wed and Thursday. I don't really want to crash the centre camp during that ( I would rather participate))

and i plan on being at the red nose stilt bar for most of the sunsets. def. THE place to be a jackass. ;) -

Heard about the Red Nose - anybody got an address?
First burn in years that I am not working during the event... so my time is mine, and plan on walking tall a lot!!

Critical Stilts Tall Stilts, PowerRisers, Drywall, Minis: Meet at the 9:00 Plaza (aka 9 @Biology) Stilt walk around the Esplanade to center camp, hitting Stilt Bars. Lets take over center camp centre stage for a stilt dance party! Then if our legs aren't too shaky we can continue around to the 3 Plaza. Hopefully we can hit any stilt bars around. If it is a really bad dust storm, come back same time Friday?

Tue, August 18, 2009 - 7:50 PMYes, Yes, Yes I want to be there with you, later is good when its not so hot and we have that delicious sun we had last year (the light was epic!) Not that we really care but there is a hoop convergence thurs from 5:30 - 9 at 7:30 and gnome with cheb i sabah , I personally love the hoop stilt combo (even if I fell on my ass on Market St in front of the Moog- trying to stilt and hoop) We could just saunter over there, huh? -

Alas and verily verily, Red Nose District (aka, RND) is taking the year off in 2009. However, RND co-founders Circus Metropolus (home to the klowns, including Gooferman and the Sisters of Honk) and the EnHightened Beings of Leisure (aka, EBOL: stilter collective extraordinaire) are cahootsing at the Circus Metropolus Camp, hitting the circus nail on the head with a different kind of hammer and at an odd angle.
Located in the sprawling plains of 8:00 & Esplanade, Circus Metropolus Camp will feature:
- The KLOWNge: an interactive/theatre space that includes an amply amplified stage, live and DJ'd music, 3 pole-dancing platforms, 4 trampolines, and the Sisters of Honk bar
- The EBOL High Chair Stilt Bar, with themed, daily happy-hour parties through Saturday
- 3 art cars, including the Zenobia Blanca Stilt Limo
- A cush campers-only lounge
- Private showers and port-a-potties
- $100 camp dues -
